Dress to Express
Fundraiser for Children’s Mental Health Week 2021
Children’s Mental Health Week is taking place from 1 – 7 February 2021 and is an opportunity to shine a spotlight on and raise awareness for children and young people’s mental health.
This year’s theme is Dress to Express
Children are encouraged to use colour to express themselves by wearing a colourful outfit or an outfit of their choice to express themselves. Children can wear their favourite colour or choose a range of colours that express how they’re feeling. The outfits can be as wild and wacky as you like. It is a chance to EXPRESS YOURSELF! This could even be a fancy dress outfit - I’m sure we have got some colourful superheroes out there!
The event will take place on Wednesday 3rd February 2021. For children who are currently learning from home we do not want you to miss out on this exciting event. We would like you to Dress to Express and upload your photo onto class dojos. We will be creating a collage in school to display all your amazing outfits. Throughout the week there will also be the chance to engage in online activities to support children’s wellbeing such as yoga, art, music and dance. Your small donation will help Place2Be to continue to support children’s mental health - you could even get your family to sponsor you to try and raise more funds.
Children can either bring their donation into school or make a donation online at https://www.justgiving.com/fundraising/parkside-primary
Thank you for your continued support.

Congratulations and a big thank you to all our children, parents and families for their help and support collecting items for Royston Community Foodbank. We have been overwhelmed by the amount of food and items which have been donated. You have all been so generous and everyone at Royston Foodback wants to express their gratitude at how we have supported them and our community. Barnsley Chronicle came down to photograph our fantastic achievements and a link to the full article is below.
Well done everyone!
