Important Information for Parents/Carers of Children who are Entitled to Free School Meals:
We are aware there is a hoax email currently being circulated that appears to have been sent from HM Government asking parents in receipt of free school meals to submit their bank details to ensure they continue to receive support.
The email is cleverly worded and states ‘As schools will be closing, if you’re entitled to free school meals, please send your bank details and we’ll make sure you’re supported’.
This is a scam and not an official communication, please advise parents not to respond and delete immediately.
Children entitled to a free school meal will continue to receive this provision in line with government guidance.
Parents/Carers should contact school directly to determine how to access this entitlement if they are unsure.
Coronavirus
In light of all the information we have sent out, and in line with the new guidance released, can we stress that if at all possible, if your child can be safely cared for at home, please keep them at home during the school closures.
Thank you
